The rules for using HeartChat and for listing your practice.

Who runs HeartChat

HeartChat is run by AIDMH (Australians for Intersectionality & Diversity in Mental Health), the trading name of Mental Health of Australia Inc (ABN 34 716 206 271), a registered charity, 538A Murray Road, Preston VIC 3072. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean AIDMH.

For everyone

  • HeartChat is a directory. It does not give medical or psychological advice, and it does not recommend any professional. You choose who to contact.
  • HeartChat is not a crisis service. In an emergency call 000. For support any time, call Lifeline on 13 11 14.
  • We check registrations, but we cannot promise that every detail on every listing is correct. Please check fees, availability and registration before you book.
  • Please do not use HeartChat to send spam, to harass anyone, or to copy the directory.

For listed professionals

  • You must be registered or accredited as you state, and keep your details true and up to date.
  • You must only offer services you are qualified to provide, and follow your profession’s code of conduct and advertising rules, including the Ahpra advertising guidelines if they apply to you.
  • You must not use testimonials in your profile where your profession does not allow them.
  • A Basic listing is free. A Full listing is $33 a year including GST, after your free months. We send you a tax invoice. Fees are set by AIDMH and may change with 30 days’ notice. If you do not renew Full, your listing becomes a Basic listing. You can pause or remove your listing at any time. We do not refund part years unless the law requires it, and nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
  • We may hide or remove a listing that breaks these terms, after telling you why where we can.

Content

You keep ownership of what you write in your profile. You give AIDMH permission to show it on HeartChat and to share it, for example on social media, to promote HeartChat.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia.
